We believe that the ability to speak, debate, organize, plan and execute helps a person to progress in life as much as proficiency in academics. Co-curricular activities which bring out the hidden talents of the students are given emphasis here. Every year, new and interesting items are added so that the students are kept abreast of the favored trends of the modern age.
Sports And Games
The athletic and sporting events culminate in the Annual Athletic Meet in which the students take part with great enthusiasm and true sportsman spirit. Interhouse Competitions are held in all most all the field and track events at Pre-primary, Primary, Sub junior, junior, and senior levels. The opening and closing functions of this meet are colorful events which provide a feast to the eyes.

The students take part in various tournaments and competitions.

The school Karate team has won international level competitions with lots of gold medals.

Such sporting events organized annually help to develop true sportsman spirit, team spirit and co-operation.
Debates : The students regularly participate in various Inter-School competitions and win distinction and accolades.
Special Programmes
All special occasions and festivals such as Republic Day, Environment Day, Independence Day, Teacher's Day, Children's Day and Christmas are celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm. Teacher's day organized by students and Children's Day organized by teachers deserve special mention as these occasions help to forge and strengthen the bond between the student and the teacher. These occasions also instill in the students the spirit of patriotism.

A farewell party is organized for the outgoing students by the students of Std IX as well as by the teachers.
Prefatorily System
Head Boy, Head Girl, Asst. Head Boy and Asst. Head Girl, House Captains, Games Captains and Prefects form the Student Council which oversees the co-curricular activities and discipline. A teacher on duty is responsible for the smooth running and discipline of a section for each day.

An Investiture Ceremony invests the students with full authority in the execution of duties at the beginning of the year. In the solemn Passing the Torch ceremony held at the end of the year, the outgoing students formally hand over the symbolic lamp of knowledge and responsibilities to the new batch of office bearers.
Study Tours
Study tours to places of interest provide experiences which are not only enjoyable but also instructive to the students.
School Magazine
"Talent hunt", The School Magazine of Oxford, tries to maintain a record of the happenings of the current academic year. It includes reports, felicitations, reflections, poetry and expressions of every conceivable aesthetic talent of our students. There are pictures, paintings and photos of all activities that took place during the previous year. Teachers and students make up an excellent editorial board.

Each class is also required to prepare a class magazine representing the collective effort of the entire class.
Parent-Teacher Meeting
Regular meetings with parents are organized as Parent- teacher meetings or Open House meetings where the parents are apprised of the progress of their wards as well as their weakness in specific areas and remedial measures are suggested.
Social Service League
Members visit orphanages and homes and distribute clothes and study materials to the poor. The fund is raised from the “Food fair” organized every year along with the School Annual Day.
Annual Day
The Annual day of Oxford is held in January. The achievements of the school during the past year in academic and co-curricular areas are made known to the public and parents. Proficiency prizes and individual Awards are given away and cultural activities are organized that day.
Club activities are conducted on all third Saturdays. Clubs such as, Health, Social Service, Home Science, Quiz, Art & Craft, Dance & Music are functioning actively. Children are free to choose any club according to their tastes and interests.
Value Education
In order to inculcate correct moral values in children and mould them into socially committed citizens, one period is set aside for Value Education. The class teacher takes special care to enlighten the students about etiquette and patterns of correct behavior. Any misdemeanor on the part of the child is instantly checked and steps are taken to ensure that it does not develop into a deeper malaise.
Self-Study Period
Every Friday, the students are allotted a zero period of 40 minutes during which they can meet their subject teachers to clear all their doubts.
Remedial Class
Special classes are conducted for the benefit of weak students in all subjects. This enables the children to keep pace with other students.
House System
To impart a healthy competitive spirit among students and to include the habit of working together and training in leadership qualities, an efficient system of ‘houses’ has been introduced.

All the students belong to one house or the other and will be guided by a teacher assisted by a house captain (a student).

All competitions are held house –wise. A regular record of student’s participation and achievements in house activities is maintained and merit points are awarded to each house.
A Chinese proverb very aptly states, “Teach me, and I will forget. Show me, and I might remember. Involve me, and I will never forget.” To a very great extent, the theoretical knowledge is enhanced when a co-curricular activity related to the content taught, is organized. Intellectual development of the personality is achieved to a great extent, in the classroom itself.

Our school has various clubs functioning under the able guidance of the teachers. The students and teachers work together to make the Cultural Fest, Sports Meet, Fun Streak, Genesis and the Annual day programmed a grand success.
